I finally stopped counting!

Well, for those of you who have visited the house over the last few months, you know how big and crazy the tomato plants had become. My wife thought I was a little weird when I started counting the number of tomatoes harvested, but I was just curious what 3 little plants could produce. They started off kinda slow, but after about a month, they just went crazy. Not taking into consideration the tomatoes stolen by the racoons, birds, Shelby the dog, squirrels, friends and neighbors we have harvested (so far) 1,283 cherry tomatoes. There have also been 84 bad/rotten/split tomatoes. With the price of tomatoes in the stores, I figure we have saved about $214. Don't worry we are not finished yet.

Here is some of the final harvest.

Plants after I thinned them out this evening. I am trying to get the small garden ready for some fall plants. I know they don't look great but they still have buds and tomatoes all over them!

Here is some of the cuttings that I cut off the plants and pulled up. I know I wasted about 100 (that I did a quick count of) tomatoes, but we really needed to clean it up some.
